Description
INDICATIONS FOR USE
• Self-etching adhesive system for restoring all classes of cavities (according to Black) with the use of composite and compomer restorative materials (including flowing materials).
• Adhesive system for fixing indirect restorations with composite and compomer materials and ceramics with the use of composite double-curing cements (eg Jen-DuaCem).
• Protective varnish for the cervical areas of the teeth.
PRODUCT BENEFITS
• Guarantees a simple, fast and economical application technique.Guarantees a simple, fast and economical application technique.
• Contains components that provide elasticity when working with all types of composites by creating an elastic hybrid layer. Such elastic hybrid layer reduces the risk of microleakage due to high elasticity and resistance to kinking. It also contains surfactants (surface active co-polymerized components) that facilitate penetration of the resin into the dentinal tubules.
• A special co-polymerized solvent in combination with a very small amount of ethyl alcohol as a carrier solves the problem of rapid evaporation of the excess (undesirable) solvent and at the same time ensures the penetration of the adhesive into the dentinal tubules.
• Does not contain acetone or other compounds that irritate the pulp..
MODE OF APPLICATION
Insulation:
• It is recommended to use a cofferdam for insulation.
Tooth preparation:
• Make the tooth preparation using standard methods. Carefully remove damaged tooth tissue. Use water to remove debris formed after preparation, dry with air or cotton pellets. Do not overdry. The surface should be slightly glossy.
Etching:
• To increase adhesion when working on the enamel area of the tooth, additional etching of enamel areas is recommended before applying the adhesive.
• Unprepared enamel must be thoroughly cleaned with a polishing paste or with the intraoral sandblasting machine. Etching of the enamel is fulfilled with the help of standard etching gels (eg. Phospho-Jen AS) for 15–20 seconds.
• The prepared enamel can be selectively etched to increase adhesion. Apply etching gel to the enamel, including the overhanging edges of the enamel. Leave for 15–20 seconds. Rinse well with water, then air dry. Do not overdry.
Pulp Protection:
• To avoid irritation of the pulp, cover the area near the pulp with calcium-containing pads.
Adhesive application and restoration procedure:
• Apply Jen-Unibond SE with a brush rubbing the material well into the prepared cavity.
• Wait 20–25 seconds. Dry with air for 5 seconds. Do not rinse. Light-cure for 10–20 seconds. Then, perform the restoration with light-curing composite materials- either directly or indirectly. Follow the instructions of the material manufacturer.
• When fixing indirect restorations to composite cement, prepare the restoration for fixation in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer of the material for indirect restorations.
Special recommendations:
• When restoring V class cavities (cervical defects) the adjacent edges of the enamel should be bevelled and etched in the usual way. Before etching dentin and adjacent enamel must be cleaned with a pumice-water suspension (free of oil traces), washed and lightly dried.
Application to reduce the hypersensitivity of the cervical areas:
• Clean the cervical area of the tooth with increased sensitivity, using a preventive paste and a rubber cup. Rinse the paste with water. Dry with a jet of air without oil. Avoid drying the dentine. Apply Jen-Unibond SE in the same way as in the case of direct restorations.
PACKING
• Jen-Unibond SE in syringes of 3 ml or in bottles 6 ml.
